All of the other competitors were honking in support!! It was fun to see!! Congrats guys!
Our tuning method was to lock it at WOT, then introduce enough vacuum leaks until it stopped stalling.
Congrats guys. Cool build. Sorry I could not be there this weekend, but I am at Petit LeMans where I am making good progress chasing sponsors for next sure next year's event bigger and better than ever.
In reply to Tim Suddard :
Moving it to Atlanta Motorsports park?!?!?
Atlanta CL will never be the same.

Pretty sure we all support this. I’d be ok with Atlanta even though it’s much farther.
I am just chasing sponsors at the race track, but there has been talk too, about getting the event a bit closer to a lot of you.
Stay tuned, I have more meetings in the next few weeks. And go easy on Tom and Nancy, as they are working hard for you guys.
Holy crap I have some catching up to do in this thread.
Huge thanks to everyone who came out to help in one way or another. I'm seriously blown away by the team effort. What a huge feat getting this thing to run on its own power!
I'll spend some time chronicling my thoughts and experiences a bit more tomorrow.

We thought it was because wreck racing posted a fast time when everyone started cheering, and then saw the mk2 move without a push. Made so much more sense.
AMP AMP, But no drag strip, and I know a few of think otherwise , but who among us Can't be Impressed with a darn 9.50 Pass.
I Am
Commerce drag way is up the street from Road ATL. And about identical to Gainsville but no nice pavilion.
Across the Street from Road Atl. is the old Lanier speed way an asphalt oval that may? have a small track infield. again no drag strip, but the parking lot for R.A. is big enough but not level, then there is a nice back straight.
just a thought could the Challenge be Accomidated at R.A. this same W.E. as the PETITE.
In reply to Robbie :
Having won that myself in The year of the Aristocrats, a hardy congrats my friend(s)!
In reply to Robbie :
You should be very proud, great job! Thanks for letting me be a part of the team, I had a lot of fun for the first time at the challenge. A word of advice for those that were like me, reading the forums, thinking about ideas and wondering about the event. Go next year, grab a wrench or a pair of wire crimpers, and help out.
Looking forward to getting a team together and bringing a car next year.
Fladiver is awesome!
Other than Robbie and Chris, he’s the guy that lasted the longest!
Thanks Fladiver- I had a blast!
Yes, Thank you for letting me be a small part of the build. It made having what was a predictably frustrating failed build of my own into an being a small part of an effort that made it an enjoyable event to be part of. You guys are incredibly deserving of that award. I look forward to the crazy Fiat next year.
