That sucks. Your experience doesn't change the fact that their lineup of cars is pretty cool! Which was the point of my post.
Was it Ford or the dealer? Either way, Ive been treated very well by them. So has many people. I'm sure there's a counter to every experience though. I've never had experience with Mazda but I've driven many of their current line up and liked them all.
NickD, so your friend gave up on the car instead of waiting for a day when the weather was clear so he could go get it? Or just work it out with the dealer for them to deliver the car on a flatbed to his house?

Pretty much. By that point he was kinda irritated after waiting almost a year and getting the runaround on when it was showing up, and somehow it had screwed up his winter driver plans (I forget the details). The local dealer gave him full price back and instead, in the spring he found one in Michigan (where he had family) for a much better price and did a fly-and-drive and visited his family and had a cool roadtrip home with his new car, and still ended up cheaper.

I love Mazdas, that's not really a secret, but their dealership and service experience would benefit for a touch more oversight. The one I used in California's High Desert (once) was terrible. The one here in the Lehigh Valley is pretty ok.
Anyway LSD. Does the RS use the same type of differential braking the ST does? I passed over the ST for that reason as it was an unknown quantity at the time since I was afraid of heat issues during extended track use.
