I know this is an old thread, but I can answer the Macan question. My dad has one. It feels tiny (I'm 6'2" so YMMV), has gigantic blind spots, and an awful interior design: just a sea of buttons that are all the same size and shape. Worst CarPlay implementation I've ever seen. It's all very fussy and annoying.

Dynamically, it's fine. No real steering feel, but not as bad as an Audi. Overboosted brakes, but they do work well (again, like an Audi). Doesn't really feel powerful: you can tell it's a small turbo engine.

To me, it feels like a jacked up Golf with worse interior design. I don't understand the appeal ... at all.

Because it is a jacked up Golf. The interior design is the same as out '15 Cayenne and I much prefer the sea of buttons vs a whole bunch of haptic stuff, or functions buried in menu's on the dash screen.
