An odd find on my local FB Marketplace...

At this dealership

I never knew such thing existed.  I've never seen one in the wild.

That’s kind of cool.  Seems like a good price for a hybrid Fusion with that low of mileage.

Seems like a pretty good deal , is it a plug in Hybrid ?

Interesting.  The dealer site gives a window sticker link...

https://www.pallottaford.com/api/inventory/GetStickers/?sv=MwBGAEEANgBQADAAQQBVADEASwBSADEAMAAwADQAOAAwAA%3d%3d&make=Ford&dealerCode=02175&loc=Vdp&cguid=SH-149c81c7-a67a-e4d5-65d4-cb24aae5ce8f

Includes $895 Ballistic Driver's Door

$37k new!!! Makes $21,500 look like a deal just one year and 6k miles later.  The sticker says 3yr/36k bumper to bumper and 8yr/100k on Hybrid system.  If that warranty transfers then it could be a deal.  However, as a real driver this is an ultra spartan interior.

I would think that the interior from a wrecked  Fusion should swap in for the most part.

When I had my SHO, I kind of wanted to pick up a set of police steelies for winter tires. But they really don't work on the Fusion, do they?

My guess is it's for detectives and the like? Cool car.

I like Spartan interiors.  But how is that car going to go through any kind of civilian inspection with rear doors that won't open or unlock from the inside?  At least I don't think that would pass in Maryland.

I stand corrected.  Only the driver needs to be able to get in and out and have the drivers window work.

Passengers?  Who cares.

Scott

There are places in many cities where you might be glad you have that "ballistic driver's door".

I had a Fusion hybrid rental car for a week and got over 46 mpg driving around on vacation.

Vancouver PD uses them for reserve officers in traffic control - they get a marked car to mark the area.
