Just watched a review video this morning. I guess it has onboard telemetry like many sport oriented cars these.

VW claims a 4.7s 0-60.

When the reviewer, used launch control to test the 0-60 and 1/4. The car did 0-60 in 4.0 secs and ran a 12.44 @ 110 1/4..........according to the car.

That's kind of bonkers.

Its a very nice car. I wonder if we will get it with a manual and more than those 3 colors.

I approve of a Type R/Veloster N/Golf R hp battle.  Maybe we will have 11 second hot hatches (FWD even!) in 2025 lol.

Just like getting a Club Sport in the US, I wouldn't bet someone else's money on it.

Edit: Possibly on the colors, depends on what the beancounters decide. -Turns out I recalled wrong about the trans offerings in the Golf R.-  I'd almost be more excited to see an R32 offering but I know me and I wouldn't like it for the mondernity of it.

I really dig it. But I don't know if I $43k or whatever, dig it.

The outside styling is a bit sedated for me. But the performance is fantastic.

Meh.  I like my '19 R much more.  I'm not a fan of a completely digital interior, plus the power changes made aren't enough to make me excited vs my current R.

That's a CUV bruh and a FUGLY automobile at that.

If Merc brought over teh A45 AMG Hatchback that would be hella rad.

My better half has an Audi S3 which is the same basic vehicle under sleeker bodywork. It's an absolute blast to drive and a weapon on twisty roads! 0-60 specs are all over the board the last few years in magazine articles. Anywhere from 4-seconds flat to 4.6. It's fast, I don't know how fast as we've never used the launch control, but way faster than she needs!
