This is exactly the kind of thing that I want to do: Drive like the dickens up curvy mountain roads and do it legally and safely! I don't know if I can finish my car in time for the event, but I would love to go an watch if possible. :)
I really need to find out how to spectate as it's about 30 minutes or so from here.
From Brad Gates on Facebook: "83 of 90 spots filled in the first 4 hours. Don't think about it for too long."
Update: "If you were thinking about this, act quickly! Only 6 of the 90 spaces remain."
One more update: Sold out. They are keeping a waiting list.
As far as spectators go, there is really only a couple spots to watch from, and unless you watch from the starting line you are pretty much stuck where you are for a while. It's an awesome event and anyone that can get there should go.
