LOL. Here we go again

I don't consider it any better or worse looking than the competition. And considering how successful this segment of the market has been, GM would be foolish not to build something like this. Whether or not we like it or think it should exist doesn't matter.
If I didn't already know what a Corvette is, I would like it. Corvette is such a niche brand, I think it's dubious to try to cash in on it for an SUV.
Ahh yes... another expensive performance CUV. Just in time for the next recession.
Honestly, I have no problem with it if it has Corvette performance. Using the Alpha chassis indicates RWD bias with AWD potential and capability to fit most of GM's powerplants which is a good start.

Yup. If this is mid-engined I'm in.

I was thinking the new Blazer? Do they still make those?
I don't really pay much attention to the CUV/SUV market outside of the Macan/Cayenne, which is dumb because I can afford neither.

Matter to GM? No, probably not. But it matters to me, because of what it tells me about the world.
There are many more-important problems, of course.
That is not a Corvette.
Unless it comes with white NB's, tube socks, and khaki cargo shorts as factory standard. Then sure, no one asked but GM went ahead and did it anyway.
I don't know, most of those styling elements look much more natural on the SUV than they do on the actual corvette. Given then size and weight of the corvette it was already basically a performance SUV but without much of the "U" part. Now they've added that in, seems reasonable enough to me.
If it was midengined and the kids had to sit on top of the engine or behind it or something that would be interesting. I don't mind weird stuff if it's super weird.
this is committee weird. So, no, I don't like it.
but they will sell a bunch to a specific crowd that thinks they are cool.
What manager at GM looked at what Ford did with the Mustang Mach E and thought "yeah, let's get some of that."?

Probably the CFO
In reply to Jesse Ransom :
Yes. Whether or not GM decides to build a Corvette SUV does not rank very high on my list of things to be bothered about, if it ranks at all.

That's how I feel about the Aston Martin SUV.
