I missed it the first time. I like it a lot!
It's amazing how similar his choices are to what I am doing with my Europa, except for the rotary, and a mild difference in skill level! But I went down exactly the same paths with design choices.
I am, however, doing it for $20XX!
Any rotary gurus want to help me make the switch? I like the rotary choice.
I know Kennedy Engineering makes adapter plates to mate 13/20B's to transaxles. Althought iirc it's only for VW/Porsche axles. They do make custom ones as well, but that's not $20XX friendly unfortunately.
I've go an AC VW engine/trans that's been sitting out next to the shed if someone needs it. hint hint

Thanks for the free bump Dan!
Yeah, I'll hook someone up - '72 Europa TC including the original Twin Cam engine(worth well over $1k complete and non-running), a Brand-New frame, Brand New windshield, good seats & bumpers, and a spare(stronger than stock) transmission. The ad is here: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/200x-classifieds/72-lotus-europa-time-to-move-on/67337/page1/
Not only would I hit it, I'd put a ring on it, and happily put up with it's B.S. and it's overbearing, annoying mother.
Who'd like to take a guess what they did for hubs/ knuckles/ spindles/ brakes/ etc?
Those 5 lug hubs didn't come with a Europa.
It's got a Subie trans, so logic would say Subie half-shafts, and therefore hubs. But the fronts and rears appear to match, and it seems like there'd be a lot of fabrication to use Subie spindles all around.
