Good article and put some thoughts in my head dangerous to my bank account. While I can understand why Good-Win Racing would not want to mess with converting a California car, if I found an earlier NC and found a California MZR L5-VE engine the same year or newer than the NC I picked up I could it smogged if I made sure the proper emissions controls were functional and I was willing to deal with the referee station (California) and all the hoops involved. Not a lot of cars I'd be willing to put up with that but for "the answer".....

Years ago I test drove a 2.5 swapped NC for somebody on here. It's the only NC I've driven but I really loved it. Great mid-range to make up for the chunkier chassis. I think it also had some OEM RX8 bits in the suspension.
As a new NC owner, this has been relevant to my interests.
