also, if it's gonna be a challenge car, it should have been posted somewhere that the general public could have known about it's "just get it outta here" status
check rockauto, sometimes their listings show pictures with dimensions.
Take some c channel and weld a tab to it for the bottom, a plate for the top, threaded rod, and drill on site?
This is going to be harder than you think. The 2g front struts insert a knuckle rather than bolt to it (the pictures you have are from a 1g and a 4g eclipse I think). See below. I can get some "ride height" measurements from my car tonight. The front struts are to the left.

I would just buy cheapy quick struts off amazon. Minimal amount of bullE36 M3, and if you don't run them at the challenge you don't include them in the budget.

Well then i guess it comes down to whether you want to design one custom front suspension, or two.
