I kind of dig the dash and the selectable gauges, but I realize they aren't for everyone....kind of like the floor hinged pedals and the bizarre ergonomics on my 911.

I have Bobzilla's old 88 z51 c4 and DD it occasionally. I really like it, but the legroom is lacking. I think part of that is the aftermarket seats, so I hope to eventually score some stockers to help get the legroom where it needs to be. Other than that its a cool car with good power and best of all cheap.

Corvettes are a small car.. my 86 Camaro looks huge next to one, and my 98 Cavalier seemed to be about the same size. they just look big..

Since they're small, it's the long hood that make them look big. My 91 Camaro looks big too(long hood) until I park it next to modern cars, then it doesn't look so big.

they are bigger than most sports cars.. and the interior of the Porsche 911 seems cavernous compared to that of the C4.. even the interior of the C3 looks big compared to the C4

I replaced the stock seats because not only was there no leg room, but the headroom was terrible. Those seats gained about an inch and a half in headroom and kept the legroom that it had, unfortunately. I think the only thing that could make it better would be a tiny aluminum Kirkey shoved back against the rear bulkhead. There just ain't no room in there.

A C4 Corvette is ~4" longer and wider than a 1st gen Ford Focus, and 10" shorter. Not exactly huge though, is it?

I"ve said it on here before, I love C4's. My father in laws 85 TPI and auto was the car that made me get over myself and realize that Auto's are not the spawn of the devil. The auto mated to that engine is just a joy to drive. The car is a joy to drive and genuinely quick in the area that matters for day to day driving. No, it's not going to hit 100+ mph in a flash, but 20-40 or 30-60 is seriously quick. At 6' I fit no problem. The only problem is my FIL sold his one owner since new car last year without telling me first.

I have both an 85 911 and an 88 C4. The 911 is a 4 seater and you sit higher up in it, so that probably contributes to the feeling larger, but in reality I don't think 911s of that same era are much, if any, larger. The 911 does feel narrower, which really shows when you have a passenger. I don't know though I guess you'd have to look at specs to really know for sure. I enjoy driving them both.....very different cars.

I had a 1988 4+3 convertible for years and enjoyed the hell out of it. Not a DD, but every nice weekend and several 1000+ mile trips.
