Can anyone recommend a (cheap) 37 degree flare tool (AN fitting compatible) for 1/2" OD stainless tubing? I am making fuel lines for the Challenge car, and I can't find a loaner locally. I expect I will make 4 fuel lines with this tool, then lose it in the chaos that is my garage, only to be unearthed by future civilizations.

Cheap and 37 degree aren't very compatible. If you only need 4 fuel lines flared, I'd recommend taking it to a local shop that makes lines (hydraulics shop, some Napas, industrial supply shops) and find the guy that is the dirtiest and/or oldest, he's likely the one who does the fab work. Tell them what you're doing and sometimes they'll just do it for free (flaring costs them basically nothing and takes one minute).

I have this one - not cheap - but it is of good quality and I have been using it for brake, fuel, oil and fire system installs for years. The cheaper ones are fine for aluminum or mild steel but for some reason they split stainless and this one does not.

Nashco FTW. Couldn't have said it better myself.
