Really? Darn! I was hoping at least one of the two would have that feature.

And I don't think all the g-bodies had fixed back-door glass (though I could be wrong).

Also,

I should mention that FWD is NOT an option for me, typically.

Volare, wooooooh!

Learned to drive on that and an LTD Country Squire wagon. No wonder the big 3 are in trouble!

Let me set the record straight here folks I'm not planning to get rid of the Corolla Wagon anytime soon. I'd probably trade off the Z28 to come up with something else, but the little brown wagon will probably stick around for a while.

(this post in response to the several inquiries about the availability of the Corolla wagon)

Any of the "midsize" GM wagons from 73-77 have rear facing, 3rd row seats. (Cutlass, Malibu, Skylark) They are big, but not exactly behemoths. These have been largely ignored by the muscle car crowd, but are starting to creep up in price. (these are the ones with the tail-lights in the rear bumper.

My brother has a 76 Vista Cruiser (without the vista) and it's a pretty bad ass machine.

Ah The oLD rear facing Third seat !!!

LOL I 'member going camping in the folks 59 or 60 Pontiac wagon.. sitting on that smelly moldy seat .. and laughin my A$# off when after hitting a big pot hole , the spare dropped through the rusty floor and bounced down Ohio State Rt 6 with cars dodging it !

One more big bump and we would have been next !

My how crappy those classics were ! The only reason the fronts didn't rust off was because of all the oil leakage !

Oh man, that must have been priceless! My mom had a huge Chevy wagon with a rear facing 3rd seat, we used to fight over who got to sit back there on road trips.

Now I see that many of you know exactly why I think it would be great to expose my kids to the "way back" seat.

Funny you should mention that. My mom had a VW Squareback and we would jump at the chance to ride in the 'way-back'. On longer trips they would put the seat down and my sister and I 'camp' in sleeping bags while my parents drove. You would be arrested for that these days!

My 79 zephyr wagon had the option. With the strait 6 200 it was a great car. I would like one now. I would keep the 6 and just convert it to EFI. We had one manufactured in Canada so it came with the optional block heater built in. Great car except that it was baby blue inside and out.

Most will come with the 3100 which is a well known beast and is not exactly slow. The wagons come with rear facing seats at least in some models. You should be able to find them for under 2k all day.

Century didn't get the 3100 until 94 or so. Earlier than that it was 3.3
