Ok... I have a 1989 4.3 merc-cruiser. I rebuilt the carb and put a new starter in. I attempted to start it and it seemed to want to turn over with stater fluid and the realized it wasn't getting fuel. I adjusted the float and now it seems to be getting fuel. But. number 5 & 6 plugs are soaked with fuel and it will freeze on turn over (it almost seems as if its a fuel lock). This is a 4.3 GM engine. Can anyone please help on this matter? I even thought maybe its because I don't have the boat on level ground. But i'm
