It's for safety. You don't want your legs getting caught under the wheel if you need to be safely thrown from the wreckage.

Hmmm. Also not a bad choice. I'd also add the 250 GT Lusso to that list. I know it's not everyone's favorite, but I'm a fan. Ditto the PF coupe.
