That's the plug for the O2 sensor.

No problem. If it's still making a good connection, I'd just tape it up and not worry about it. If it's not, pretty much any VW or Audi of that vintage will have the same or similar plug.
I love that it only took 7 minutes to identify. Good ol GRM.
I cant tell from that pic, but if its the same as a bosch fuel injector plug, IAP (they sell fialt and alfa parts), sells brand new ones for like $10.
