Andy, got your message, but couldn't call you back because your number was not displayed. I will be there (I'll be the guy running you down at the big end in the Mirage). Hope you are all doing well; it was great to hear from you! I decided to take the LSAT another date just because my original seat was for October 4. I declined just to come down!

Hey Les,
Guys like you keep us coming back. We can tell you all about skipping a big event to make it the the Big Go. BTW, you won't have to worry about running me down on the big end. Little birdy said there's a big dog coming.

I'll be there too, Andy. I'm a scum just like Les on the returning calls thing.
Can't swear I'll have a car. I've got 7 different very cool projects sitting out back, but it's been a really bad year workwise and I've had virtually no time to wrench. 60-70 hour workweeks for 25-30 hours worth of pay for month after month. When I do have a day off, I spend it with my family or sleeping. Stinks.
But I shagged cones last year and I'll do it again if need be. I'll be there no matter what.
Oh, and Andy, that other little thing still awaits you.
well, i have been working at least once a week latly, in march we where getting in sevral days a week. right now we are foing a bunch of welding to fix holes in the firewall and trying to figure out why the guy who owned it before had this thing with rivits....right now its all about safety for welding and fixxing some little things before we can think about getting the motor in the car....at least i posted the pics of my great looking motor here before. look for the monty carlo in the rides with the motor on the stand.....sigh.....
the biggest problem is trying to find a job that i can get some cash biult up to pay for gas and the fee to attand...sigh....
I was going to run my ex-racecar (the one in my avatar) in 24 hours of lemons, but I can't seem to get a team together. I may end up taking it to the challenge just for the hell of it.
75 to go.
Cage is done. We'll start tin work tonight. Paint stripping is 60% done.

I'm actually out in Philly this weekend as I have a four day break from work but I'm pretty busy to swing out. I'm trying to split about 10 years worth of wood for my girlfriend and clean up her yard so she can focus on getting her garage in. I'll have to let you know what my schedule is so maybe we could meet up.
Glad to hear everybody's doing well. Think about you guys a lot.
Yes, I will be down this year in my daily driver but at least I'll be participating. Hopefully my sister will be my co-pilot. God help me.
She once killed a cow with a Beretta. And I'm not talking about the gun.

Probably not a Challenge car after that. Right budget, too much work.

This weekend we took the ghia to the Deutsche Classic for its first show. We had a great weekend. The show had a great swap meet and may nice cars. I went with 30 dollars but sold a blaupunkt radio, accessory backup lights, an uncracked steering wheel, and a aftermarket pulley that came with the judson to be able to buy a ghetto 50's coke cooler and a bosch screamer (preformance distributor from the mid 60's).

Hey, Andy, cool to hear about your new car, but really this last information is the BEST part of your posts! Glad to hear it.

Plus eleventybillion plus 1!
It doesn't look like I will make this year either. '09 is screwed, I can't go out West as much as I would like to. But-if things come back to the Right Coast- '10 could happen. There's all kinds of junkers in my area.

I had to take a break from working on my challenge car to help my dad get his ghia running. It was in a barn for 25 years at the same place as mine. We messed with it for 30 minutes then changed the points and it fired up the first time.
if i can find a nice P71 ill come down this year. take a weeek off of life and kick it with GRM

I have nothing to report. Have to pull the eng and trans out. To find a very loud sound coming from the eng or trans. It sounds like something big is on its way out.
I dont wont to show up with out a car
Tom and I got the Bezerkley running yesterday It took a lot of work, but it should be ready for a trip around the block in a few days.

The Bezerkeley vs. Minissan grudge match should exciting. I am sure that Guidipie is working his hinde end off getting ready for the big exhibition brawl. Are you guys bringing Darth Craftiest down for the drag portion?

Paul, did you ever get the Yugo running right on MegaSquirt? Did I miss the post somewhere? Is it overbudget?
