I was looking through a bunch of old photos I had that I think I clipped from the web and I found this one and felt it needed to be posted. Probably a re post but a great photograph!!! I don't know why I like it so much other than it has that resto-mod feeling and well it is a 911

I am thinking that the rust.. . . errrrrrr patina adds that required surface roughness that actually helps the cars aero.
So would you drive it on track? one the street? I know I would.
Fantastic car in my book!!!!
I remember going to my first Porsche Club Race at Lime Rock about 20 years ago. I had been watching a lot vintage racing that summer, mostly pristine pre-war stuff. The Porsche Cub event was a shocker.
The cars weren't what I expected. Many of them were a little beat up, with some mismatched panels and a few fiberglass pieces in white gelcoat. They were being towed on well used trailers pulled by eight year old Chevy pickups.
And...they were driving the living crap out of these cars. The sound and the speed just blew me away. I had always liked Porsches, but this was they day that I made the transition from wanting one, to needing one. And I had no doubt that I would do whatever was necessary to make that happen.

That sounds like my kind of fun
Chumpcar? How the hell do you find a longhood for ANYTHING under about 10x the chumpcar limit?! Even if it's wrx powered, there's 5K in parts on that thing.
That thing isn't actually running in ChumpCar, is it?
I've seen that car before on the interwebs 2-3 years ago, and it has some money in it...
That said, i think that thing berkeleying rules and i'd drive it on the street.

I'd rock that, it looks like the shell has known fire, and someone brought it back. Do we have any specific details about this?
