What are the 944 Turbo S's worth these days? I found the specs, and they look like a pretty special car.... I may have an opportunity to pick up a very clean "divorce" car (with roll bar/sparco's and 5 points) for ~$3k. I don't need a car. Dammit.

Those are pretty sweet cars. If it's in good shape, it's a good deal. Downside....if it needs work, Porsche parts are expensive.

Turbo 944's can be made FAST by turning up the boost a little. Sounds like it could be a fun deal assuming it's a well maintained Porsche.

^ That's what I figured. I'll take a look at it this week. I really can't justify it for myself right now (too many cars, and the M3 was/is the one that should satisfy my "german sports car itch"). It might be worth flipping, or perhaps I can convince my wife that she needs a low mileage 951 with roll bar as her daily driver.

I doubt that'll work.

:)

Please buy it and then share the love with your favorite grassroots motorsports community!

If it's in good shape, I'd buy it from you in a heartbeat.

If it's in decent mechanical shape it's an absolute steal. If not, you could still part it out and make good money. I have an pretty nice 87 944 turbo (non S) and there is no way I'd take 3k for it. They are fun cars and make a great DD if maintained properly.....good luck with the purchase if you go through with it.

i'll give you four grand for it the day after you buy it. i know you'll need a day to treat it like a rental before you'll feel right about selling it.

i'm super serial.

A clean 944 turbo s with records and no paintwork is worth at least $10-12k now. With the recaros rollbar etc that car could be worth upwards to $14-16k.

For $3k you should jump on it. If not, give me their info and I'll buy it.

Seriously, that is a great buy to make some profit on if you don't want to keep it!

Looks exactly like my neighbor's. I mean ex-neighbor actually. Where are you?

Hamilton, Ontario. The car is "supposedly" in Toronto. As I haven't seen it in person (and since I first saw the ad I've done some reading) I now have serious doubts that the car is for real. I did talk to the seller, and she sounded legit.... I'll purchase the car if it exists.

I won't send money to Dubai/Kenya/BFN :). I'll keep y'all updated.

Let me know if you want to resell it. My wife will be pissed, but it may be worth it.

By that now!!!! that is a screaming bargain. you could turn int for 5-6 or 8K doing nothing but paper work if it is in decent shape.

Why cant a deal like that come my way. Ok so I want the 928s4 with low millage a standard and a 3k price tag. Ohya in dark blue or burgundy with all up to date service and a complete records folder... . Should be doable.. . . . Ya and I can purchase that bridge to. Lol

Dang it get that thing ASAP before someone tells the owner what it Si really worth. The S cars have better brakes trans etc. They are virtually the final version of the 951. They got all the good stuff.

Yes, it appears to be in very good shape. Let me add my name to the list of wanna be buyers. If nothing else buy it and flip it. That's re-sell it....... not roll it.

I had a non-S '86 Turbo, and a good friend has an '89 Turbo S...there is no comparison the Turbo S is that much better. $3k is a smokin' steal even if it were a pile of smoldering parts.

You could double or triple your money without any trouble no matter the condition.

Good luck with that. I hope it turns out to be legit. Where I live, $3K won't even buy a 924 .

Ya the Recaro seats, belts and roll bar are probably worth $1500 -$2000 just by themselves.

The guy is REALLY legit about selling it that cheap???

Christ, those wheels/tires are worth a decent grip.

It's running and sorted-out, in that shape for $3K???

Buy and flip. Crazy not to.

Buy your wife a $500 piece of jewelry w/ the profits to keep her quiet about the process.
