Hey, Ive been looking around for cheap reliable rides so I can start to autox my e36. Ive always liked the looks of the twin cam saturns but never actually read up on them. Is there anything I should know about an sl2 before I start looking? Any major reliabilty issues etc.? I found this one and am thinking about making a 1k offer. Seem like a good deal? http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/2741816647.html

that's weird how it has the 14" SL-1 wheels on it since it's an SL-2. Otherwise looks like a great choice.

Will burn oil. Keep some in it. Drive forever.

The ad's been deleted...but Saturns have Honda-level indestructibility for bargain-basement resale prices. It's a win-win. Just keep oil in the engine, and it will run until cockroaches are the only life on Earth.

14" wheels fit just fine on the 2s. My 1995 SC2 has 14"x6" E30 325i Bottlecaps on it right now.

The DOHC Saturns are quite good at autocrossing.

My 1995 SL1 had 15" teardrops when I bought it.

The oil thing is very good advice. I'd like another 1995 SW2. My last one had a lot of rust.

Hope it didnt sell that quick! Lol He emailed me saying it was still available 5 mins before I noticed it was deleted. And thanks for the info. From what little I did know about them I had heard about them using a lot of oil. Not a problem for me. Thanks
