I have a trade offer for my 96 Dakota for a 96 Accord Coupe 5 speed. Any major pitfalls to keep an eye out for? car appears clean minus some failing clear coat. It has the 2.2 4 banger and is classic light tan color. 170k miles.

I have a tan 1996 lx 5 speed, with 250,000 miles. I bought it with 170,000. I've had to swap in a clutch and did the timing belt when I bought it. It Still runs well. I'd do the timing belt and fluids etc.
The only thing that will make Beans happier than this thread is if you edit it to include Grand Cherokees.
Paging Beans..
Personally, from the work i've done to those things i think they are good cars and not especially hard to work on. I know you didnt ask but i also think 96 Dakotas are even BETTER, but they fit totally different needs and if the dakota doesnt fit your needs anymore, try the Accord!
