The thread on getting older has me thinking. Hypothetically, let's say you make it to a point in your life where you shouldn't drive. However life has treated you well and you can afford to pay someone to drive you around in a car you provide.
What do you put in the driveway for someone to drive you around in?

A proper 4 door limousine, maybe a mid 60-mid 70s Cadillac Fleetwood?

Minivan with electric sliding doors, fairly low ride height and grab handles above and beside each door.

1970 Cadillac sedan De Ville. If its good enough for Morris Day, then its good enough for YOU.

But why pay someone when the car is the driver?

You don't want to just be driven somewhere, you want to arrive...

I also greatly enjoyed riding in the back of an Edge. Maybe the Lincoln version? Any mid-full size luxury crossover with reclining rear seats.

I'm no fanboi, but the rear seat of a Hyundai Equus is a really nice place to be.

That new S600 Maybach. Because who wouldn't want to be chauffeured around in a biturbo V12 barge that is excessively luxurious, while still cheaper and less gaudy than a Phantom?

G body dude beat me to it.

Maybach 62. The big one

Gotta say though, my Phaeton was a stupidly nice place to be in the back of. And I usually had a pair of car seats in it for the munchkins.

In reply to Woody: I used to ride up to my friends cottage in northern Michigan in the back of a 600 Pullman in the early 80s. I just thought it was an old Mercedes.

This but with modern amenities like air suspension, zoned climate control, some kind of LSx, and Maybach style rear recliners.

You silly little people with your 8 cylinder cars..........

Any douchebag can buy a new Phantom. It takes a man of dignity and class to arrive in a 1940 V16 Cadillac limo!
