This morning I was scanning an article in a British magazine that was titled "Roadster Guide" ....or something similar. I was surprised to find this car mentioned (Mitsubishi Colt CZC-T) because I had never heard of it, much less seen one. I read a few different U.K. car mags, but never saw this pictured or tested.
So, for fans of small "roadsters" and / or fans of the "3 Diamonds" brand:

I won't be devastated that we can't get one.
I'm not surprised......I AM more surprised that Mitsu is still afloat in the US.
I've actually never "gotten" any of the Mitsubishi convertibles.

3000gt Spyders were pretty damn kickass when new. You know, back before damn near everyone had a convertible hardtop.
Even now, convertible hardtop twin turbo 6spd manual AWD GT cars are certainly not commonplace enough to scoff at.

Are you talking about targa topped cars......if so, there were plenty before and after.

That car also comes in this flavour -
1.5 turbo, 5-speed.
What if I said there was a reliable Mitsubishi you could buy, that is class leading in durability and in fuel consumption?
I would say you were lying.
I would ask you what drugs you were on.....
Well I am not, and there are a few of them.
They are these:
and they go in these
They also make a V12 and 4 of them go in these
The Captain said "I think the only reason we have 4 engines is so we can keep going if a few shut down. These engine never stop, I think we only need 3 Mitsubishis on our next boat." He also said they burn less fuel than any other boat he has Captained.
See Mitsubishi can build a nice product.
Just don't ask the price. LOL

That's a nice looking Honda Fit.

No there was a 3000GT that was a real hard top convertible, and it was pretty cool looking but I wouldn't touch one with your 10' pole and the original cost was eye popping. It was something like a $30,000 option to add the hardtop convertible - beyond the cost of a 3000GT VR4!!
Oh, might be why I've never seen one......
I thought Mitsubishi was a TV.

I meant exactly what i said.. convertible hardtop. That is different from a targa top.

They're pretty rare. And they still sell for 15-30k when you can get a regular vr-4 as low as 2-3k now.

The VR4 Spyder has been one of my favorite cars for a long time... pretty rare especially as they get older but low millage ones still demand a pretty penny.

I wouldn't be able to hear your answer over my laughter.

Sticker on a VR-4 Spyder was $68,424
Yea in '95 dollars. That's over $100k in today's money.

If memory serves, MMNA imported normal 3KGTs and then shipped them off to an installer in CA to have the conversion done.
As I recall, the VR4 Spyders' top motors tend to burn out and are basically impossible to replace, leaving you with an overweight floppy kinda ugly coupe. It was also the first mass-produced power hardtop car or something if I'm remembering right.
