agree onebillionontythousandmillion on the Scirocco, I can't agree on the C5. The C5 is a great car, but I prefer the looks of early C4's myself.

I am not saying it looks bad (in fact I would quite like a C30) but I seriously doubt the C30 is ever going to be a classic. Volvo while it is a respected car maker doesn't have the name recognition of many of the other car makers mentioned here, it wasn't sold in massive numbers and it doesn't have looks that make you snap your head around.

I've been stopped and asked what it is and told it's a cool car more than any other car I've owend or driven. People really really notice this car even though it's coming on 5 years old now. Most people still think it's a new model

I don't disagree it is a cool car. I guess it is rare enough that most people don't really know what it is. I still don't see anything that will one day make the C30 a classic.

+1 it is nice, but generally just another retro styling exercise

Funny, I don't see it as retro, yes it has the glass rear hatch door as did the 1800, but that's a single design element. To me the overall car encompasses the modern simplistic Scandinavian design ethos in one package.

But I did say I was biased

I find none of the hot hatches in listed in the form of modern classics in the asthetic since.

IMHO the Vette hasn't been one since the C2, and that hardly qualifies as modern.

I am biased.. but I agree on the 900 SPG being a modern Classic
