I mean, it's no Motocompacto wink

I do feel like there's a market out there for these, though, whether it's someone who really wants everything to match their Mustang or someone that just really likes Mustangs.

That's not a Mustang! I am outraged!

Oh, no, I'm not ;) But the chrome rims in the promo picture say a lot about who this is aimed at.

There's a Bronco one as well. I'm not so sure about that saddle.

The Motocompacto is a good comparison. It's an interesting device that's like nothing else on the market. It's got a quirky style, a connection to Honda's past and has legit usefulness in specific scenarios -and it was given an attainable price. These are just ebikes priced at the upper end of the market with nothing obvious to set themselves apart other than some stick-on branding.

So are all of the car makers trying to get into the E-Bike game? McLaren is launching their e-bikes too. All be it at a very McLaren price level.

The Bronco is... interesting... not sure who they are aiming to sell to, but definitely not a typical mtn bike rider...  120mm travel?  Almost 68 lbs???  One size fits all?

If you have a Mustang or Bronco and $4K to spend on a toy that matches your car I see the appeal but its interesting to me that for that price you get no name brand components and a hub drive motor. I do think the Bronco one looks cool, I just dont know how comfortable that saddle would be.

If it's made here and doesn't catch fire while unattended, I could be interested, but not because it has a "Mustang" decal on it.

In reply to ddavidv :

In general, anything with a hub-motor doesn't inspire confidence but in theory Ford would have done their due-diligence on this before putting their name on the bike.  The name of the manufacturer is a bit misleading. I doubt any of this bike is made in North America.

The only e-bike I know of that is sort of made in the USA is the Christini, which is made in Philadelphia and sells for a bit over $1000 more (but also has more features).  I've pondered picking up the AWD e-fat-bike... although it would pretty much guarantee my area will never see snow again...

What's that? You need sunglasses to match your e-bike that matches your Mustang? Do I have the perfect shades for you:

They also have pairs to match your Bronco or F-150: https://knockaround.com/collections/ford-sunglasses

I suspect a lot of them will spend their lives being displayed next to the owner's GT500 at shows.
