I would say all cars from the 70s rotted out quickly. Bought a 73 Blazer new and by 75 rust bubbles were forming on center of door skins and tail gate. This was in New Jersey. Ever notice how few cars from that era still exist.

'73-'74 cars were bad rusters because they used recycled steel that year.

Growing up in Georgia, I often heard it said "On a quiet night in Georgia, you can actually hear a Chevy rust." Now I know that the Northern cars rusted so loud we were really hearing them from all the way down here.

I dig it. It's certainly a homely car stock, but just some changes really boosts the appearance.

I had a clean 78 yellow mach 1, four spd, 302. with just some minor bolt on mods that car would run. I really liked it.
