Well I FINALLY went to the yard to pick up my new engine. For those that didn't see my other post in the off topic section I found a '77 Olds Delta 88 Pace Car at my local scrap yard that sadly they would not sell the whole car on. So I did the next best thing I asked how much for the engine and my girl friend (now fiance) said she would help me get it for our two year anniversary. I had them pull the motor with all accessories and had a few other parts pulled from the car as well. I also got the wheels, the brace bars from the firewall to the fenders and the steering wheel, all parts specific to the pace car.
The engine
The Indy sticker on the air cleaner cover
The factory wheels
The steering wheel that actually still has texture on it
Now comes the fun of getting that damn thing out of the back of my girl friends truck.

Drive backwards really fast with the tailgate down, and hit the brakes.
I thought about that...but I kinda want the engine in one piece.
I just don't know if my engine hoist could get up high enough to actually work on getting this out. It is tied down to a pallet so I might have to see if I can slide it out on a ramp nice and slow like.

Sweet - looks clean. By the sounds of it nice choice on the fiancee as well.
In reply to SyntheticBlinkerFluid:
Nope its a 403
Well that's not horrible. Except it probably produces 160hp.

but even a 'wheezy' 403 making 160hp still makes more torque than any F1 engine.
Stock the engine was 180hp and 320 torque. much better than the Poncho 301 currently sitting in the engine bay.
Even better the heads off an early Olds 350 will bolt right up and with a new cam we can drastically increase both numbers so yeah if someone runs across some 5a or 6 heads lemme know.
I obviously spend way to much time around here. I just had the sick idea of leaving the engine low compression and adding a turbo. This place is a sickness I tell you...
I fail to see the problem with that.

The problem is adding only one turbo when clearly it should be twins

I just looked at your profile to see your car. It's not a Miata.
Well yes it would of course there should be two turbos, there is a manifold setup for it on ebay so obviously I'm not the only one that has thought of this. Though I expect it would be extremely tight under the hood squeezing in two turbos with the 403. Also there is the issue of no real fuel injection system for the engine as well.
Well no I don't have a Miata but honestly I would look funny in one I'm quite sure.
And wow just found this vid of a turbo Cutty
