At first glance, GRM forum member Purple Frog’s 1963 Beetle looks stock. Beneath that sheet metal, however, lies a tube-frame chassis and a mid-mounted Jake Raby 2300cc engine. “All real cars are mid-engine,” Purple Frog posted. “CG and all that stuff.”
