Digging through some old stuff and found this photo I snapped back in the early 90s, someplace in Naples I think. Just thought you guys would appreciate it.

Looks pretty good to me! 500 for DD'ing and a Fezza for Sunday drives.

Uncanny

That's my old SC2, and I have no idea who the other guy was, but he owned the other half of the beach house my then-girlfriend's parents rented.

As all Ferrari owners like to hear, "that's a good looking Fiero kit."

I see this kind of juxtaposition all the time in the driveways of beach houses. They're all rich folks who only come to visit, but some of them bring out the fancy luxo/sports/whatever, and some of them just buy a Focus or CR-V every few years like a pair of disposable flip-flops and leave it at the house. Every so often I'll spot some sort of 6 year old blandmobile on CL with like 18,000 miles on it, guess where it's been :).

Also, why are there rollbars mounted on the floor in the original pic, and is the guy with the fiat supposed to pick it up and set it back down on the other side to get it out?

Guy I knew in college family did that, sort of. His parents had a house in Florida with a mini Cooper s vert there. They lived in AZ and had a wide verity of awesome cars. Jaguar xjr, magnum srt-8, 650i MANUAL (because his step mom refused to drive automatics), cayman s and my friend had the cleanest 96 m3 in existence. Funny thing is his dad couldn't drive stick.

I can tell you from having done it personally.....it isn't hard for 3 guys to pick up a 500 and carry it a block. In Naples 500s were notorious for getting lifted (I mean, literally) into the backs of pickups or whatever and stolen. It was easier than hotwiring them, literally.

I think the "rollbar" has three big bolt locks into the concrete, and then a chain onto the car itself. So a bit of a PITA to get the car out.

The funnier part is that the Cinquecento is all locked in, meanwhile the Ferrari is not :)
