Caught this phrase in a BMW commercial I wasn't really watching. So is this just some marketing phrase because "twin-turbo" or "sequential turbos" is too hot-rod-sounding and not sophisticated enough, or is there something different about said setup in the BMW?

I wonder if the car's name is the "335xi i-drive x35 TwinPower turbo"....

Twin power originally referred to the N55 motor which has a single twin scroll turbo 6 cylinder. The N55 is an evolution of the N54 which was a twin turbo 6 cylinder. The twin power name has been used on the 4 cylinder motors as well due to the twin scroll turbo on those.

Just wait for the tri-power engines, especially diesel, with 3 turbos.
