Haha. What do drifters all hit that breaks their bumpers off? (I know they're held on with zip ties most of the time). Low ground clearance + off course excursions? Each other?
That stuff is pretty cool though. It looks like tons of fun!
sometimes each other. sometimes things like curbs, fire hydrants. they also like to hold the tail out after getting through the corner and try to get close to the wall/barrier and scuff the bumper, some try, many fail. ive seen it happen twice to the same guy.
pretty quality video editing...
I liked it. I am now 13.5% more interested in Drifting...off to find a 240...
I am surprised we do not see more BMWs drifting. With the "drift tax" pushing the prices of 240s, Z, and the like higher and higher, an E36 seems like a bargan

their gettiing used more often, two of my friends now have BMWs after selling their S13s and S14s. one has an E36 325i and the other an E34(?) 5 series.
The e36 seems like it will be used more for grip, but he slides it around every once in awhile. My friend with the 5 series is more into drifting but he says he feels like the car needs more oomph to keep it out and keep the angle. So a turbo setup is in the works. or possibly a toyota 1jz swap if we want to make things overly complicated and give ourselves headaches
Personally i think people are too stuck on S chassis nissans, yeah they get crazy angle but they have such a high drift tax and often are incredibly rusty. or put together by shadetree mechanics.
Some people think the Mazda 929 is the ultimate drift car.

a volvo 240 would be sweet. it would throw people for a loop when you told them you drift a 240 and showed up in one of those. wonder if an LS1 would fit in it?

I am surprized that there aren't more mini trucks being used this way. my datsun 620 loved going sideways seiously, if I were going to build a drift specific machine thats the route that I would take, Datsun 620, sr20det or I6 from an '80s turbo Z, add cage and improved rear suspension + flashy wheels= sideways all the time....not that I'm into that sort of thing....
