I am autoxing my 84 regal. It has a buick 455 motor and weighs 3750 with me in it. Will the A6s be the best tire for this car or is there another tire I should use? Thanks for any and all help

A6's are your bet bet. You want them in a wide x huge size for that much car.

Dave, what's your logic on that? For my tank of a car I went with RA1s, as they were the spec tire for American Iron, and have the distinct advantage of being DOT legal (i.e. I can drive to the track with 'em on, and not be one of those weirdos towing a trailer with a sports car ).

In terms of slicks, wouldn't the R6 be better for a heavier car?

I'm not disagreeing, just curious.

A6's will be faster. That's my logic. They will wear out in no time, and be retardedly expensive, but they will be the fastest.
