Over the past few years I've posted plans and pictures of different project cars that I've worked on. I love building unique cars and working in my shop. Due to income I've made from some simple products that I've invented I haven't had to work full time for a number of years. This allowed me to "Play". I did successfully build a number of fun cars. I worked with a welder to build frames and I learned to be pretty good at fiberglass work. I've sculpted several bodies, made molds, and laid up bodies. I even got pretty good at body work and paint.

But, I've had some serious health issues and the fact is that I am not able to work in my shop alone or to do much during a day. It's time for me to realize that this is not going to change soon. I'm in fact down sizing and getting my affairs in order so that my wife doesn't have to deal with complicated issues or clean out my "stuff". I'm hoping to be able to improve enough to do work on a a car project in the future but now is not the time. So, I'm selling a bunch of stuff, including the Abarth SP 1000 molds. In the next few days I'll post them in the classified section along with a supercharged NA that would make a perfect donor for an Exocet or for one of the space frames that I built to accept Miata parts. ( I have 3 of the frames)

The Abarth is one of my favorite cars of all time and in my opinion is spectacular looking. It pains me to sell it. From posting about it here and on Grassroots Forum I have had a dozen people email me wanting a body.

The molds were pulled from an original car. They are, thick, and properly constructed. There are molds for 18 parts that will make up the complete body including a windshield insert that eliminates the tall one and mounts a wrap around windscreen. The mold surfaces themselves need some attention. This will require dewaxing, repair imperfections with filler, sanding to 220, then spraying with Dura Tec 2 part primer. Dura Tec uses the same catalyst as fiberglass resin so it bonds great. Then wet sand and buff out. The resulting surface will be good for hundreds of parts.

Price is $6500.00 I'm John and can be reached at: info@bigbellybanks.com. Or: 603-504-4107. I live near Lake Placid, NY. The same as the above comment. It is such a cool car but you are way more important.

Hey there John, sorry to hear about your health. I couldn't agree more with the above about your health.

I'm quite interested in those molds. I will contact you later today or tomorrow.

Thank you for the kind words. I meant to post this in the build section. I'm sorry about that.

I have had 4 people email me about the molds. I'm not going to drive the price up. So, the first person that says they'll take them and can send payment gets them. My coin bank business can crate them and load them into a truck. We have a commercial address with fork lift.

I've things turn around I'll be buying a body!

You'll need to log in to post.
