I think around 200bhp should be relatively safe, you you can just drop in the Renesis for 230bhp out of the box. IIRC the 13B is easier to port/tune though.

Rotaries are light and compact but have middling power. They should go into light cars, by rights. That Europa is perfect, as are Lotus 7 clones and one delightful and loud Bugeye Sprite with one I saw.
Keeping an exhaust system together can be a challenge for those unused to what the vibrations do to normal old style thin wall exhaust tubing!

Yeah but those are sachs 1 rotor engines. I'm talking about 13b w/ side draft and in a much bigger sled than the old evinrude and artic cats.

I'm reminded that at one point I was urging one of my employees to put a rotary in his $1 Chevette. That would have been kind of awesome had he not decided he paid too much for the car and got rid of it.

I say an early Corvair, Datsun B210, Corolla, Civic etc. 60s to early 70ish. Any number of Alfas, MGs, Triumphs, Austin Healeys, Coopers, 914s. Like previously mentioned, has to be light and small. Another nomination here for the Pinto and I can't believe I am saying this but a Vega. Anything under the hood has got to be better than what it came with.
Old man Wankel put a rotary from a prototype C111 mercedes into the r107 350sl chassis. I read that it topped out around 150mph and they had to retrofit the car a bit to make it work.

You don't see them in bikes because the gyroscopic effects of rotaries.
