I'm sick of feeling paranoid when my needle bounces or doesn't move at all. I know my oil level is good, and the gauge on the dash is mostly an on/off switch, but I still don't feel good cruising at 3k and seeing no pressure. Since the car is going to be down for a while while I replace the master cylinder, I might as well fix some other things, especially if I decide to boost it later this year.

Is this one of the stupidly easy things I'm over thinking, or do I need to do more than just buy a gauge and a new pressure sender?

I've seen writeups on modifying the stock one, but that seems like a much bigger pain than mounting a gauge and running some wires.

I guess the big question, is one gauge better than another?

It's a 93, with the 1.6, probably makes a difference.

If it's a 93 you already have a real oil pressure gauge...

Check the wiring at the pressure sender near the oil filter to make sure it is still solidly attached.
