I have a family member who has a bit of a driving phobia and has expressed some interest in attending a driving school to help with confidence. I immediately thought of the BMWCCA/SCCA/Tire rack Street survival program and explained the general excercises. She said that was was she was looking for. After checking the sites it is limited to under 21 year olds. She is 40ish and is not looking for any performance/racing type course and is not competitive but still looking to improve confidence and ability in emergency situations. I would gladly do it but family is not the best instructor/student and I don't have access to facilities. I have suggested autocross or autocross school in the past but that didn't appeal to her at all. Does anyone know of a course similar to Street Survival for older adults in Michigan or Northern/Mid Ohio?

Thanks for the suggestions. I really like the Driving for Life program for location and reasonable cost. I will pass them on and encourage her to go.
