Found this in an old copy of the Japanese magazine Car Styling.  Turns out the Lexus SC400 design was actually based on a blob.

just remember we have something today that no other generation had.. "retro cars" The Beatle, 500, Mini, PT Cruiser, HHR, and others come to mind.

But the only people that care about lap times are teenagersand automotive journalists.  Real supercars' purpose is for the owner to be seen, and to do that you must drive slow.
