Ok, so GRM issue arrives today, with Nissan's competitor to the twins as one of the articles.

Written by Peter Brock.

Referencing the new generation of kids and what they like, and for us old farts, references to the 510 greatness of yore.

And the name, apparently, IDx, with references to the "D" being the roman numeral for "500" and of course, "x" being "10".

And apparently, a 1.8/5sp combo is in the works (510SSS anyone?).

Not only that, but, supposedly, the fenders are easily changed out for wider units...

Could they be taking GRMs advice? http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/why-cant-nissan-unrealistic-car-idea-but-cool-bre-/30721/page2/

We don't generally buy new cars (well, I don't - we usually do for the wife); I bought the Focus because I thought I'd be driving 200mi a day for the next 10 years (thank the good Lord for work in town. Literally.); but I told the wife if they build this thing, and it's good as advertised, I'm going to grab one.

I hope the stripper version is devoid of doo-dads and has cheaper (read less effective) sound deadening, etc... so's I can get my old school feel in a neat new school car.

And let's hope the weight and complexity of Nissan's other fun offerering doesn't find it way into it!
