Because I like to do things the hard way, plus all the cheapo inflators I tried were too slow, I created my own system.

 the viair works great and fast, but I didn't like the long power leads and long hose. So I built this.

Originally I used a microgravity jump pack as the battery that slid in next to the pump, but it took like 4+ hrs to recharge. When it crapped out, i switched to a M18 tool battery and a 14v output dc to dc converter. Inflates notably faster with 14v input!

I built the original version before milwaukee released their m18 inflator, or else I would have just bought one of those.

Since I got my Ryobi 18V inflator, I can't think of the last time I used my garage compressor and air tank. Like getting a battery impact wrench, it's a real game changer.
