I don't want to encourage a flotilla to invade, so I'm not going to name names, or post a link. I think everyone on here is tech savvy enough to find the site.
I keep seeing this pop up in my media feeds and was wondering what the thoughts were on it? It seems reasonable in concept, but I wonder about the phone accuracy and effects from the local environment when using.
I'd say that, looking at the image of the tires on that screen he's holding there, the guy in the image is ready for a party when he goes and tries to drive whatever he just put together. Thrust angle? Yes. Toe out? All of it. Does he have 0 toe on the rear because both tires are parallel, and sticking out the side of the vehicle?

I missed that one. It must've fallen off the latest topics before I saw it.
I would be interested in a evaluation and review by a trusted media source (hint, hint).
Looking at a demo video its basically using compass measurements to calculate this. Lets say you lined your car up with magnetic north. FL measures 359.5 degrees. FR measures 0.5 degrees. You have 1 degree total toe out. In some ways it has similar limitations to toe plates in thrust angle toe mode. It doesn't have a true centerline reference. There is a body mode that takes reference off the door or something.
Camber looks pretty simple. Its a inclinometer just like typical cheap $20 ones you can get on amazon. This guys seems to think its using the IMU for something, and they are definitely known to drift. I'd imagine there is a lot of room for error in using the digital bubble level used to set it up. Requiring you to let go with a hand and tap to measure would contribute to errors.
Seems like if you're careful it could be useful. With a better jig it would probably be a lot more repeatable. Apparently there is a demo mode in the app if you want to play with it.
