I can't say why, but this car does something for me. I wish it was closer to my June trip to LA. I think I'd buy it and drive it home to Florida.

Not at all.
When something is that clean it instantly doubles the original "coolness" factor for me.
I never would have bought my 77 colt, but it was so clean I had to.
One of my uncles had a four door Matador, if I remember correctly it was green as well. I drove it from Minnesota to Missouri in 1975 on the way to a funeral, it wasn't a bad car for the time.
You guys eyes are broken.
Matador sedans are some of the most heinous design to come out of any era.

Buy it and have a local GRMer drive it to a storage unit near the airport?
I want it too

This thing is incredible. Trades for one off art work from my 2 year old? He's mixed media mostly, his current motif is "Dump all the stuff on the floor then bail when Daddy tries to get him to clean up"
the rims on that Colt are the same ones I once had on a Fiat Spider. never did find out who made them

They look like late 70's Appliance wheels to me. That lip is distinctive
Nope, nothing wrong with that attraction. I know nothing about that car, but it's a looker! It would be a fun drive home!
There aren't many cars that I hate, but I've hated Matadors since they were new. But I agree that any car like that survives is instantly cooler. I love it.
If I was closer and you didnt snatch that up. I would. Then I would make it a NASCAR replica that I could drive on the street. Homage to Penske and the Matador in 70's NASCAR, up the cool factor even more!!

Hmm. Could the 2 year old come with the artwork? I know somebody that knows somebody that needs a toddler.......

Nope. This model of Matador is about 2 years away from the full-nuclear level of ghastly hideousness that was to come. This one is inoffensive.
