American LeMans in Ohio

I had mentioned it once before here on the board, and some were interested so here is more...
My good friend and sailboat racing buddy Dave C. has a long motorsports history. Though retired, he is handiling logistics for an ALMS team based out of Hollywood, Florida. For the summer months, the race operations have been moved north to the shores of Lake Erie.
Another sailboat buddy runs the local newspaper so here is the combined effort, a link to today's story.

The FB page mentions an open house on Tues July 26. I will see Dave tonight on the sail boat and confirm but I am sure I can get you all in the event. The mechanics will also be on the boat tonight.

Sorry for the short notice but I will be attending the tomorrow, Tuesday night event and can get you in. I will be there between 5pm and 6pm.

I will not be at Mid-Ohio. A schedule conflict with two days for sailboat racing out of Put-In-Bay.
If you wander around over to my buddies padock feel free to drop my name, John Welsh. My buddy is Dave Caracci (Car-ah-chee) and his is the on-track logistics manager. He is a cool guy of 60 yrs old and he himself is a former Formula V National Champ.

The cars are really cool. The big car has a Corvette V8 drivetrain. The smaller cars have a Mazda 2.3L engine which look cool and sound really mean.
