An empty trailer and a bank, with friends like these who needs enemies.
I'm heading out on a short drive to pick up my next bad decision. I really can't be blamed this one is already within the boundaries of the Bad Decision Triangle.
Oh trailer you truly are the original enabler. Pete Gossett with the assist.
More after pickup. This will be a short thread. Once I am home I will start a build thread.
Okay since no one bothered to guess.. here is some documentation of loading out the new toy
The brake cylinders where all frozen and the alley narrow so that trailer is unhooked from the tow vehicle. We just lifted the trailer until the wheels where on the beaver tail and dragged it on. A winch with a jack did the dirty work.
And loaded.
So what is it? It's another Subaru 360 of course. This one with it's pile of spares (seriously an entire 2nd vans suspension and running gear minus cylinders and head, new brake parts, all doors and glass minus windshield from a 2nd van and extra trim bumpers pedal cluster etc.) Is just over challenge price. Oh.. and this has a title, and ran until the brakes went out a year ago. I have video of it driving.
I'll document it in a new build thread but for now time to head home.
Fat guy in a little van!

So this will be used to tow the lmp360 to the Racetrack?
Wow that's pretty clean, two stroke power right? Should be lots of fun to run around town in that thing.
In reply to Gzwg :
Unlikely as this is probably to clean to cut up enough to put that much drivetrain in.
But now that I know I fit in one I will be on the lookout for a 360 truck cab to build a ramptruck.
I edited the second post not sure why I never finished my sentence.
I got this for $3k with spares. I really wanted a van after I had for the sedan body but thought I missed the boat on them. This one was an excellent deal and I'm very thankful that I get to be it's caretaker for the next phase of it's life.
Also since this is the town I bought it from.. shot in front of the Subaru factory.
Is the trailer still hooked up?

so... extended wheel base, some kind of dually rear, and custom wider front suspension with box/trailer-flares?
I like that van but the door open picture scares me.
Cool find , my friend said he drove one to High School in San Jose

Nice score; those are really cool.
Thanks everyone. I got it home. And lookie what I found in the box with all the new brake parts.
Because of the brake issue It may be a few days until I unload it but when I do I will get some more pictures off the trailer and maybe next to the LMP360.
I've thought about using a newer Sambar as a basis but they tend to be either title less and cheap or registered and $5000. But would make a much more comfortable ramp truck...
Nice !
Are going to try and disguise it as some VW variant and infiltrate the local chapter...
Very cool and congrats on the score.
