Coupe, straight 8. Auto trans. Doubt the underside is anything BUT rust, but I have this weird love of how it looks, especially if I could find the front of a 50' Buick Special 8. Any ideas?

Drop that body on an S10 chassis. Or a P71. It is a classic early 50's look.

There was a 2-door '51 Nash Ambassador with the same basic style on the local Craigs and I had to make a serious effort to not contact the seller. A local car it's entire life, there was very little rust other than surface from being outside.

Here's a picture of a 4-door:

GM offered their aero sedan/Sedanette from the 40's thru the early 50's-Chevy, Pontiac, Olds, Cadillac, and Buick-with 4 doors and 2 doors across two generations.  They looked fantastic to me and remind me a lot of both the Packard and Nash pictured above.  I love the designs  of them all.
