I'm sure people, especially here, will be heartbroken about this, but it's another subcompact gone, and these are actually a decent subcompact, not a penalty box like some of the others
Chevy Sonic discontinued
I was just commenting to Mrs. P about her's, this thing is six years old and it still drives and feels like the day we bought it as a two year old car. The way it feels at this age I think we're going to be driving it for a long time.

The sonic RS always appealed to me.
No Sonic has ever appeared to me.
I thought they had been canceled years ago. I can't remember the last time I saw one.
But in OK, most people drive trucks/SUVs.
I'm not really sure the American Market ever really needed both the Sonic and the Cruise. The mostly can be configured as the same car. Of those two, the Sonic always appealed to me more.
Don't worry, the Sonic will continue on as the lifted Chevy Trax.
The Sonic first came on the scene as a 2012 model so a 8 year run is pretty good and now gernerally getting "long in the tooth."
i see tons of sparks but no sonics
also the only thing in that class that is competitive is the Honda Fit, everything else is so much worse in comparison
It was my choice in its size class whenever I was at the rental counter. Reasonably comfortable, and it seemed to ride far more smoothly than most compacts.
I guess I better go get a Fit before they disappear also. Actually saw a Sport with a manual transmission on the local dealer’s lot instead of the almost constant CVT equipped ones, Maybe that is a sign.
Does Chevy still make the Spark?
I always thought the RS would be a fun commuter. My nephew drives a sedan to drive to college and work. It does that job well.
