I have a 1994 mustang (3.8 V6) and the shifter cable for the AT needs replacement. I can not find one anywhere. Well I found one at almost $250 and I started laughing at my computer.

I was thinking of this unit from summit BUT since it appears to be a universal unit I am a bit worried about just how much "adjustment" I will have to make to get it to work.

Anyone got a source for one one these?

Convert it to a manual.

Should be the same cable from 94-04, v6 or v8.

But I have to ask HOW did you break it? I have yet to see one broken in these cars.

We are in the rust belt. The plastic sheath failed and the internals are rusting causing it to be very hard to work. I soaked it in lube for a couple hours and filled the rubber rubber boots and then re sealed them in place and it is working much better. IT is only a matter of time as it has stretched quite a bit..

That's the main reason I hate ford so much....

Can't get any parts for a 10 year old car.... Trying to keep my wagon going and upgrading it is difficult to say the least.
