So on the new gen Twins, they jacked with the rear fender, messing up the pretty standard and "no modifications needed" 18x9.5 ET 30-40, 255/35/18 200TW fitment. However, guys have figured out you can run a 18x9.5 ET45 with a 245/35 that doesn't have the extra wide section width common on the 200TW.

So, I'm looking for suggestions in the Max Performance Summer tire realm, vs Extreme Performance (200TW) suggestions in 245/35/18. 200TW doesn't really matter as there is only one in this size anyway. I may eventually do the rear fender mods to stuff 255/35s under the car.

Before anyone asks why so wide? Because it looks awesome and has great grip in a car that size.

My '15 BRZ on 18x9.5 ET38, 255/35 Star Specs.

I think that sounds like the Continental Extreme Contact Sport's category, and I heard enough good stuff to go that direction. But I'm mortified to say the MGB hasn't been functional enough to be able to review the tires.

What are you going to do with them? The conti ECF might actually be a decent choice. Anyway the obvious choices are the ECS or the michelin PS4S or maybe PSS if you want to save a few bucks. Those are all fairly old tech at this point though (IIRC michelin just released a PS5 but no info about if/when the S version is coming). There's other things like the bridgestone potenza sport that are newer designs and I think have pretty good reviews.

I would say 99% street, maybe an occasional AutoX. I don't really see me taking a brand new $32k car to the track. Especially once I order wheels here in a few weeks or a month, between the suspension and wheels alone there is another $6k on top of the purchase price.
