Hello everyone, I'm in need of a specific steel flywheel to replace the dual mass flywheel in my 2004 Saab 9-3 after a few upgrades. The steel flywheels were offered overseas on some models of the 1.8 9-3, not over here in the US however. Is there any specific salvage yards that are willing to ship overseas or any websites online that people have experience with? The part number is not being made, or superceded by a dualmass flywheel. I've tried eBay.uk/etc. With not much luck. Unfortunately the clutch cannot keep up anymore and will need to be replaced soon!

55352485 part# if that could help also. Sites that do say they stock it are quickly switched the the new part number at checkout with a MUCH more expensive dual mass flywheel.

I would look for a UK-based Saab forum and find someone to help you there. When I had French cars that kind of lifeline was key.

Thete are a decent number of UK/Euro members on SAABRALLY.com, they might be able to help, or at least point you in the right direction. That site is mostly for 99/c900 but nearly everyone there dabbles in more modern SAABs too.
