Oh, and Ford guys too, since y'all like to share engines with us.
I have a problem. The PCV on my 2007 Speed 3 is shot. Car is really unhappy at idle after filling up with gas, and it's continually throwing codes. Now, I could replace it myself, but the only way I know how to do that, is to pull the intake manifold, because the PCV is behind it. The only problem with THAT is, pulling the mani is like pulling hens teeth, and it's one of two jobs I've sworn I'll never do again on this car. (It got pulled about 2 years ago for some port work). Now rumor has it, there's a special tool that Mazda/Ford guys have that allows me to get between the intake runners and do the entire job in like 1/4th the time. What I need to know is, what is that tool, and where can I get it. I'm looking at labor quotes on having a shop do it, and it's going to run me around 200$, give or take, because they have the special tool. I'm wondering if I can't acquire said special tool, and do it myself. What say you oh great ones?
Also, if you know of this tool and aren't a Mazda tech, I'd still like to know. Don't wanna freeze anyone out, ya know.
