Starting a cage for a Lemons car. I would love for this to work instead of doing it the old fashion way.

I have a big white board in the garage. Draw out a picture of inner dimensions of where the main hoop needs to fit. Then draw the hoop inside the first drawing and go to work figuring. Start from the mid point of the pipe and make starting and ending marks measured from mid point. Always leave the legs a little long. Everything after the main hoop is easy.
A friend of mine invented this little contraption https://www.cagegauge.com while doing cage work on their 93 Towncar chumpcar (rip) and used it on the very nice cage in the current Camaro.

That's pretty cool.
I ended up doing the main hoop today and I did it the old fashion way. I also entered all the measurement into the Bend It software. Those measurements were within 1/2" of what I came up with. When I do the front bars, I will try using just the software and see how it turns out.
It came out dead on so I was pretty happy about that. It's been 10 years since I had part in building a cage.
I used it and got pretty close. I ended up just playing with the bender till I figured out my deductible, back of 90’s like I bend conduit I just write that info on each shoe. Curious what kind of bender are you using?
